More than 100 exhibitors have now signed up for this year’s Cornwall Business Show.

The event, at the Royal Cornwall Showground on Thursday, March 19, will feature hourly speed-networking sessions throughout the day, along with a fantastic programme of seminars, and a networking breakfast event.

For the first time visitors will also be able to use the show’s Meet the Expert facility to book appointments in advance, allowing them to plan their day before they arrive and make sure they get to speak to the people they really need to.

The event moved to the showground for 2015 to enable it to expand – and will feature nearly twice as many exhibitors as a result. The show has also changed its format to being a single-day event.

New for this year is the Feel Good Zone, which will feature a range of therapists and health and fitness clubs – all of which look at how employers can both look after themselves and promote a healthy workplace.

The image of the show has been developed this year to better reflect the diversity of businesses in the county.

The show’s managing director Andrew Weaver said: “Experience has shown us that a really diverse range of people come to the show from trade, tourism, hospitality, professional and other sectors, and we thought it was important to reflect that in our banding. It’s not just about men in suits.

“I would like this to be the most accessible and diverse show possible and want everybody to feel they can drop in. Whether they come for the whole day or just drop in for an hour or two – smart suits or overalls are equally welcome.”

The day starts with a networking breakfast, from 9.15 until the show begins at 10am. People wanting to go to the breakfast need to reserve themselves a place. The exhibition will be open until 6pm.

Visitors are welcome to turn up on the day – entry and parking are free. However, if people go to the show’s website www.cornwallbusinessshow.co.uk they can register in advance and save themselves some time. When they register they also have the opportunity to book appointments with exhibitors and sign up for the networking breakfast.

Western Morning news editor Bill Martin said: “It is clear from the track record of the show that it has significant pulling power, both in terms of exhibitors and visitor numbers, so we are pleased to be involved.

“It is also good opportunity for us to meet with readers and for them to tell us their stories and let us know what is important to them from a regional daily and Sunday newspaper in this day and age.”

Cornwall Business Show 2015 will take place on Thursday, March 19, at the Royal Cornwall Showground. The Western Morning News is the event’s print media sponsor, Pirate FM is broadcast media partner and the show is sponsored by Truro and Penwith College and Microcomms.
