Accountancy Firm Announce Tax Team Expansion

Robinson Reed Layton, the Cornish firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers, have welcomed Aneta Williams to their team.

Aneta has joined the firm’s Tax Team and will be providing assistance to Tax Partner Steve Maggs, in addition to completing advisory work for clients. With a degree in Corporate Accounting and Finance and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians, Aneta will now be studying for her Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) exams, alongside her
work for the firm.

Aneta’s interest in taxation was first piqued following a Tax Analyst role at UBS Wealth Management division whilst dealing with more complex tax queries. Most recently, she has worked in the tax team at SEI Investments (Europe) Limited in London, continuing her involvement with capital gains and income tax calculations, as well as range of tax related queries from various accountancy firms and clients.

Having recently celebrated tax senior Alex Reed’s success in becoming a qualified CTA, the addition of Aneta to Robinson Reed Layton’s Tax Team will further bolster what is already one of Cornwall’s strongest tax advice offerings.

Explaining what had attracted her to joining Robinson Reed Layton, Aneta said that “I was really impressed with the firm’s tax services offering and I’m pleased to have joined such a prominent Cornish firm. Robinson Reed Layton has an excellent reputation for supporting the development of their staff and everyone has been very welcoming since I started.”

Robinson Reed Layton’s Tax Partner, Steve Maggs, expressed his delight at the Tax Team’s continued growth: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Aneta to the team and I fully expect her to be an excellent fit for the firm. With the addition of Aneta, our burgeoning Tax Team continues to go from strength to strength and I truly believe our tax services are now pre-eminent in Cornwall.”

Taxation advice is one of the Robinson Reed Layton’s specialist areas, with Tax Partner Steve Maggs regularly speaking at seminars and commenting on developments in the tax world through his tax blog.

Explaining the importance of consulting with experienced tax advisers, Steve Maggs said: “Due to the specialised nature of taxation, I would always recommend that anyone who is seeking help or guidance in relation to their tax affairs should get in touch with a Chartered Tax Adviser, to ensure that they are receiving the highest quality of advice available.”
