Education + Training Skills (ETS) is celebrating 50 years of providing training opportunities through apprenticeships, work based learning and continuous professional development courses across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset during 2015.
Founded in 1965 as a provider of engineering training ETS has changed direction over the years to meet the needs of local employers and now offers funded/part funded training through apprenticeships, Adult Learning Loans, European Social Fund and privately funding training in Business Administration, Customer Service, ICT, Team Leading, Management, Health and Social Care and Cleaning Support Service.
ETS also offers ILM and BTEC qualifications in Management and Business Administration and Continuous Professional Development short courses covering a range of topics.
ETS gained Grade 1 ‘Outstanding’ from Ofsted in 2012 and also holds Customer Service Excellence recognition.
We work with employers to offer the best solutions for their staff training needs and tailor our courses to suit those needs, offering a responsive and supportive approach to training identified. We believe in ‘developing people to develop businesses’ working with employers through a free Organisational Need Analysis to determine training needs and impact requirements.
Apprenticeships are available for learners for all age groups, from 16 years upwards; for current employees moving into new roles as well as new recruits. Nationally there has been an upsurge in the 50+ age group completing apprenticeships.
