CIM Launch New Event Programme to Develop Marketing Skills
CIM (The Chartered Institute of Marketing) in the South West has just launched its new event programme for this autumn.
CIM, the world’s leading professional marketing body, runs 250 networking and skill workshops across the country each year. There will be 15 such events, including six development workshops, eight insight events, networking activities and a conference for marketers within the tourism sector taking place across the South West over the next three months.
The event programme has been devised around CIM’s Professional Marketing Standards – a framework of marketing abilities which provides a guide to the skills and behaviours businesses expect of professional marketers at varying levels of proficiency. Developed from extensive research with employers and employees in marketing and broader business functions, the Standards give individuals and organisations the basis on which to assess the abilities of a capable and competent marketer.
Taking place across the South West is open to all business owners, managers, students and professional marketers, and with costs starting from just £15, you don’t need to be a CIM member to benefit from the marketing insight and advice that is on offer.
Luan Wise, vice chair of the South West community board, who has been responsible for drawing together the range of events taking place over the next four months explains: “I’m really excited about the events programme this autumn. We’re covering a lot of topics, and a lot of locations. There really is something for everyone at these events, from learning to knowledge sharing. We know the importance of CPD in marketing and these events can help everyone stay up-to-date.”
