Clear your diary for the business show
More than 100 businesses exhibiting and thousands of visitors expected
Businessmen and women from all walks of life are being reminded to block off March 19 in their diaries – to enable them to attend Cornwall Business Show 2015.
The one-day event at the Royal Cornwall Showground will feature more than 100 of Cornwall’s top businesses from all sectors. Entry is free of charge and people can choose either to register in advance to attend to save themselves time on the day, or they can simply turn up.
The event begins at 10am, with a networking breakfast from 9.15am. People should register in advance for the breakfast, although they don’t need to pay until they arrive.
One of many people’s key objectives from a business conference is to make new contacts. Cornwall Business Show is an unrivalled networking opportunity as speed networking sessions will take place throughout the day, at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 14:30, 15:30 and 16:30. There is no need to register for the sessions.
There will also be seminars on a diverse range of topics running throughout the day. The subjects include working with the media, design and technology, training, workplace health and wellbeing, and how your business’s Cornish identity can be made a selling point. Each half-hour seminar can accommodate up to 40 people on a first-come, first-served basis
New for this year is the Meet The Expert facility. This allows visitors to make advance appointments with the show’s exhibitors – giving them the ability to secure meetings that might otherwise take days or even weeks to co-ordinate.
The Feel Good Healthy Workplace Zone will offer sample treatments, as well as lots of opportunities for people to explore how they can improve their own wellbeing, that of their employees and, ultimately, that of their businesses.
There will also be an office furniture showroom and car dealerships offering commercial and fleet vehicles.
There will be a café on site serving refreshments and lunches, and there is more than enough free parking.
Show managing director Andrew Weaver said: “I am really excited about this year’s show. It is the biggest show of its kind that Cornwall has seen to my knowledge, and we have a truly diverse range of businesses exhibiting.
“I hope the changes we have made for 2015 will make it attractive to men and women from all kinds of business. I’ve gone on record as saying it’s not just about men in suits – it’s about men and women from all backgrounds coming together for the common purpose of improving their businesses. Everybody is equally welcome, from the CEO to the sole trader.”
Cornwall Business Show 2015 will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the Royal Cornwall Showground. The Western Morning News and Pirate FM are media partners for the event. The show is sponsored by Truro and Penwith College and Microcomms.
