Cornwall Businesses Intent on Investing in their Futures – 90% of stands for 2015 Business Show already sold
Cornish businesses are showing confidence in the 2015 market by booking early for next year’s biggest business event.
More than 90% of stands at Cornwall Business Show 2015 have already been sold.
The show will take place at the Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, on March 19 next year. The organisers took a gamble by moving the event to a new, bigger venue. And the change has paid off, with more than 70 businesses already committing to taking part.
Andrew Weaver, the show’s MD, said: “The business community in Cornwall has really taken to the idea of us moving the event to the county showground. We have almost sold out.
“Ninety percent of the stands have gone and we’ve just a handful left – more than five months before the event.
“It’s a fantastic endorsement of our previous shows and I believe a sign that the Cornish economy is in good shape.”
The show has welcomed two sponsors on board this year, Truro and Penwith College and Cornish IT network specialists, Microcomms.
College business manager, Tamsyn Harris, said: “Truro and Penwith College is delighted to be part of the Cornwall Business Show. The college has developed relationships of trust with its clients, working in partnership to deliver value to local businesses through developing their staff and their skills.
“Truro and Penwith College shares the same ambitions as our clients, enabling investment in learning and development to contribute to business success.
“Because of the college’s continuing success we are in a good position to work with businesses to ensure young talent can progress into local businesses through traineeships, apprenticeships with continuing support.
“Cornwall Business Show is an important part of supporting local networking, sharing of opportunities and information, to support the continued development of local people and local businesses.”
Simon Murley, managing director of Microcomms, said: “Microcomms is a Cornish based company which has been trading since 1980. Being associated with the Cornwall Business Show is a great opportunity to display our sense of pride for our company and community, whilst engaging with other innovative businesses in the area.”
Cornwall Business Show 2015 will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the Royal Cornwall Showground. Pirate FM is the event’s broadcast media partner.
