Develop your Marketing Career through Funded Training

Individuals and businesses wishing to up-skill their staff in marketing can now do so through the Rising Stars programme.

Delivered by CCB (Cornwall College Business), project manager Kate Poole said it is “a fantastic opportunity for individuals and businesses”.

“Through fully-funded marketing workshops, one-to-one support and guidance along with an opportunity to progress onto part-funded Professional Marketing Certificate Level 4, accredited by Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the funding will up-skill businesses and their staff,” she continued.

Sally Foard, Group Director of Development for The Cornwall College Group, explained that CCB boasts the only CIM accredited centre in Cornwall.

“Our pass rates are consistently higher than the UK average for internal centres and higher than the international average,” she continued.

“With industry expert trainers our delegates have achieved 100 per cent pass rates for the last three assessments. If you are looking to develop your career in marketing our CIM course will help you achieve your career goals and with funding now available, I urge you to take advantage of this.”

These activities are being delivered through the ESF Widening Participation through Skills Project. This project is receiving £1.5 million of funding from the European Social Fund (ESF) as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England which will enable businesses and individuals to develop new skills and knowledge to improve their performance.

Part of the ESF Widening Participation through Skills Project the funding is supporting individuals aged 16 and over who are employed (including part-time), or unemployed (through recent redundancy or requiring higher level skills).

The Skills Project supports businesses in Manufacturing and Engineering, Food Manufacturing, Hospitality and Healthcare sectors.

CCB’s fully-funded marketing workshops are run over 4 hours and the next one starts on 21 Nov (9.30am – 1.30pm) The Business Space, Truro.

The CIM Professional Marketing Certificate Level 4 is delivered during the working week and can be joined at several points during the year. The course is made up of three modules covering marketing principles, integrated communications and digital marketing.

You can undertake as many modules as you like starting at just £137.50 for the first module and £225 for the second and third module (normal module price £550). The next CIM module (Marketing Award) starts on 9th January 2018.
