Newly Qualified Solicitor at Nalders
Nalders Solicitors are delighted to announce that Veryan Willcock has newly qualified as a Solicitor in their Litigation Department.
Veryan was born in Cornwall and after completing her law degree and legal practice course at the University of Wales, Swansea, she returned to Cornwall and began working in Nalders’ St Austell branch of the Litigation department as a paralegal. As a qualified solicitor, Veryan will specialise in all types of clinical negligence and personal injury cases, ranging from road traffic accidents, accidents at work, occupier liability claims and criminal injury claims to claims for misdiagnosis or negligently performed surgery. She will also assist other team members on inquests and fatal and catastrophic injury claims. Nalders has one of the largest clinical negligence and personal injury teams based solely within the County. Outside of work, Veryan is a keen equestrian with two horses to keep her busy round-the-clock.
As one of Cornwall’s largest law firms they are dedicated to nurturing and developing local talent and ensuring that those who grew up in Cornwall can have successful professional careers in Cornwall. Four partners, including Dale Band, managing partner, have worked their way up from being trainee solicitors at the firm. This year, two other talented local lawyers have worked their way through the ranks from support staff to solicitors: Kerry Walker who specialises in conveyancing at the Helston branch and Kiya Hallam who joined the Later Life Team, specialising in providing advice on Wills & Probate, at the Truro Head Office. In addition, on 1st September three lawyers started their training contracts, Conor Phillips, Katy Jones and Luke Smith.
