Partner Simon Reed Celebrates a Decade of Accounting

Simon Reed, Partner at Robinson Reed Layton, an independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers, is celebrating his 10 year anniversary with the firm.

Born and raised in Cornwall, Simon joined Robinson Reed Layton in 2006 as a Trainee Chartered Accountant, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the firm in 2010.  His rapid rise through the firm saw him being promoted to Audit and Accounts Manager in 2012 and Partner in 2014.

Simon Reed commented: “I can’t quite believe it’s been ten years since I joined Robinson Reed Layton.  I have really enjoyed meeting clients across Cornwall, from the Isles of Scilly to the Tamar, enabling me to build strong client relationships – something that Robinson Reed Layton prides itself on.  My main motivations are getting to know my clients, being their first point of contact, helping with any questions and helping to progress their businesses.”

Simon continued, “Over the last 10 years I have seen tax become more complicated, audit thresholds change and a clear move towards digitalisation which will totally transform my clients’ accounting requirements over the next 10 years.”

“More and more I am advising our clients on their business structure. As a business moves through its lifecycle, I look to undertake regular reviews of the structures in place for tax purposes, to ensure that the business is efficient and working best for the client at their lifecycle point.”
