More Reasons than Ever to Attend 2017 Cornwall Business Show
With uncertainty about Britain’s place in the world of global trade, now is a good time to make sure your company makes the most of the local market.
A RECORD turnout is expected at next year’s Cornwall Business Show, as local firms seek to optimise regional trading and business relationships in advance of Brexit negotiations.
The 2017 show will take place on Thursday, March 16, at the Royal Cornwall Showground, near Wadebridge.
It is anticipated there will be around 120 stands, while more than 1,000 visitors are expected to attend. More than half the stands have already been reserved and the rest are available now to anyone wishing to secure their position at the event.
The show’s managing director Andrew Weaver said: “There is considerable uncertainty among businesses. People just don’t know how they will be impacted by the outcome of Brexit. As with any of these big issues, one expert will tell you that it is the biggest disaster for a generation and that businesses are going to struggle, while another will give the impression that this brave new world will be one of amazing opportunity on a global scale.
“Meanwhile, lots of local business owners probably have a gut feeling about what is likely to happen but know they will have to wait and see before they get any real clarity. So it makes perfect sense for them to ensure their business is in the best possible shape to either weather a storm or take advantage of positive trading conditions.
“Cornwall Business Show is an ideal opportunity to meet new customers, but also to make new contacts and allies in the business world. There are so many synergies we can gain from, it makes sense to go out and make the most of a really significant opportunity like this.”
Cornwall Business Show is now in its fifth year and is firmly established as the biggest event of its kind on the Cornish calendar. The 2017 show will start at 9.30am and run until 4pm.
Popular features of the show include its regular speed-networking sessions, as well as seminars, the Connection Wall, and the Meet the Expert facility – to enable visitors to book one-to-one appointments with exhibitors.
The successful Feel Good Zone will be repeated, featuring exhibitors with a focus on wellbeing in the workplace for employers and employees alike.
The price of a stand starts at £475 + VAT for the main arena and £195 + VAT for those exhibiting in the Feel Good Zone. This fee includes one free place on the half-day Exhibition Ready workshop, which is held a few weeks before the show to help people prepare and make sure they get the most out of the event.
All bookings made before November 25 will receive a free, fully search engine optimised, web profile on the Cornwall Business Directory for one year.
The Western Morning News and Pirate FM have already confirmed their support as media partners for the Cornwall Business Show 2017.
