Robinson Reed Layton attend Cornwall Careers Show 2016

Robinson Reed Layton, an independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers, will be hosting a stand at this year’s Cornwall Careers Show. The show, which takes place on the 12th and 13th October at the Royal Cornwall Showground, will be attended by over 3,000 students.

As part of the show the firm’s trainees will provide an insight into the benefits of an accountancy career and challenge the attendees to use their maths and logic skills in a series of fun “have a go” activities. A number of the firm’s trainee staff will be attending the show, all of whom are ideally placed to offer advice to school students on the transition from education to working as an accountant.

Simon Reed, a Partner at the firm, highlighted the opportunities for talented youngsters: “The majority of our partner group have risen through the firm starting out as trainees. We therefore understand the importance of apprenticeships and training the next generation of accountants.

“As a firm, Robinson Reed Layton strongly believe in investing in the development of the next generation of Cornish talent and place it at the heart of our ethos. Through both apprenticeships and training programmes, we offer a range of routes for young people to gain access to accountancy as a profession.”
