Robinson Reed Layton Boosts Probate and Estates Offering
Robinson Reed Layton, Chartered Accountants and Tax Advisers, are pleased to announce that they have acquired the specialist firm JB Wills to boost their Probate and estates offering.
As part of the acquisition Jane Barlow, a Chartered Legal Executive and professional Will writer with over 30 years’ experience drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney as well as obtaining Grants of Probate and administering estates, will be joining the Robinson Reed Layton team.
In 2014, Nick Skerratt, a Partner at Robinson Reed Layton, was one of the first in the country to be regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales to undertake Probate work.
Nick Skerratt welcomes the new addition to the practice’s broad service offering:
“We are thrilled to broaden our Probate and estates offering by acquiring J B Wills to provide the complete service to our clients and beyond. As we already have a long established relationship with our clients, we believe we are best placed to provide a complete Probate and administration of estates service.”
“The Probate and administration process involves a significant amount of tax and accounting work and so we are extremely well positioned to provide this service to our clients. As part of this service we can also ensure all tax implications are considered, which is vital to save our clients unnecessary costs at an understandably difficult time.”
Jane Barlow commented, “Serving the best interests of our clients has always been at the forefront of the work carried out by J B Wills. I am delighted to be appointed as Probate Manager with Robinson Reed Layton, a firm with an excellent reputation for the quality of its service and advice to clients, both here in Cornwall and further afield.”
