Robinson Reed Layton Pair Celebrate Exam Success
Robinson Reed Layton, the Cornish firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers, is celebrating the achievements of team members Shannon Cook and Cheyenne O’Leary who have completed their accounting technician exams.
This success means that the pair are now fully qualified members of the Association of Accounting Technicians.
Shannon and Cheyenne have both been training with the firm since 2013, combining their work responsibilities with one day per week studying at Cornwall College. There are many students and trainees working for the firm, due to Robinson Reed Layton’s commitment to investing in the education of the next generation of accountants.
Shannon, who works in Robinson Reed Layton’s Management Accounts and Payroll Services department, said: “With the amazing support and help I have received whilst an apprentice for Robinson Reed Layton, I can now proudly say I am Level 4 AAT qualified. The firm have been a great help getting me through my AAT, as in each level they have kept me progressing in the workplace as well as supporting me through the 3 years of training. As for the future, I am soon to be a software champion for Sage and I would like to go on and be fully trained in a variety of accounting software.”
Cheyenne: “I am delighted to have completed my AAT qualification. I am grateful for the support of Robinson Reed Layton who have offered encouragement though every step of my training. I am now looking forward to continue developing myself and my knowledge of accounts and taxation.”
Stephen Gainey, Partner at Robinson Reed Layton, was delighted on hearing the news, saying: “This is great news for Shannon and Cheyenne. Everyone at the firm is really pleased for them. We are committed to supporting the training and development of Cornwall’s young talent, so it is fantastic that this pair have completed their apprenticeships with the firm.”
