St Austell Taxi Firm Goes Further
A pioneering Cornish private hire firm has headed into 2016 with the addition of another three 100% electric Nissan LEAF’s to its fleet. C&C Taxis from St Austell has already hit the headlines in recent months after clocking up well over 700,000 all-electric miles in their fleet of electric vehicles and has now added to their eco credentials yet again, thanks to the recent purchase from Nissan dealer, West End Motors in Bodmin.
The newly released 30kWh Nissan Leaf has enabled company owner Michelle Williams to benefit from the increased range and offers their customers in Cornwall the perfect ride in almost sheer silence. The decision to add to their already impressive electric vehicle fleet of 11 was a no-brainer for Michelle who has been a long time campaigner of alternative fuel transport over the years.
“We have been running Nissan LEAF’s in our fleet since 2013 and its one of the best decisions we have ever made” she says. “They are really popular with all of our customers and of course they provide us with fantastic cost savings over conventional petrol or diesel vehicles”.
And with the introduction of the 30kWh LEAF means the innovative firm can provide an even better service than before. “It really does make all the difference to us. Being able to travel additional miles means our cars can be on the road longer and inevitably it means we are able to get to our customers quicker. “
