Success and achievement honoured at presentation evening

Over 80 successful learners and guests gathered to celebrate their achievements at Truro and Penwith College Business’ Celebration of Success – Presentation Evening. The memorable event saw a host of talented individuals collect their certificates surrounded by the family, friends and employers that, as a support network, have underpinned each learner’s success throughout their journey.

Pride echoed around the room as Sue Dickinson, Director of Finance and Administration at Truro and Penwith College, presented the certificates that ranged from Functional Skills, Awards in Sales and Social Media to Certificates at Levels 2-7 including Institute of Leadership and Management accredited Management courses and SUCCESS degree module courses. There were also an abundance of successful Apprentices collecting their certificates following success in various sectors such as Business Administration, Customer Service and Marketing. Businesses in Cornwall have embraced the progressive and supportive culture for the workforce as part of the development of their businesses and the range of qualifications and achievement reflects this.

Paul Lucock was among those celebrating achievements at the event: “Thank you to Truro and Penwith College for inviting me to the Celebration of Success presentation evening to collect my Level 3 Management Apprenticeship Certificates. The evening was a pleasant reminder of the breadth of courses being studied in Cornwall and it was great to see how proud everyone was of their achievements and the qualifications being celebrated. I look forward to completing my Level 4 qualification and attending another presentation evening in the near future.”

Alison Attfield, Programme Team Leader, added: “Students showed real enthusiasm and delight at being presented with their certificates and warmly supported each other.  The event provided an excellent opportunity for individuals to catch up with fellow students and tutors, to share in success and reflect on their progress and development as a result of studying with Truro and Penwith College Business.”
