Training Sessions to Demystify SEO for Truro Businesses
Simple tricks, tips and advice on how to improve your website will be shared at a workshop being put on for businesses in Truro.
The session on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) will focus on uncomplicated ways to enhance a website, making it easier for customers to find a business online.
The training is being put on by the Business Improvement District, Totally Truro, in conjunction with Piece of Cake Communications.
Suzie Smith, from Piece of Cake, said: “This workshop is designed to make the idea of editing your own website less scary and overwhelming. We’ll be giving advice on simple changes and updates businesses can make to help drive more people to your site.”
At just £25 per person the training an affordable way for a business to make an immediate impact.Totally Truro is subsidising the workshop for BID levy payers, paying 50 per cent of the cost. Individuals or businesses outside of the levy area are welcome to attend, but are asked to cover the full amount.
SEO is the process of helping a website or page get organic traffic; essentially finding ways to ensure more people visit your website without having to pay for online adverts.
Totally Truro and Piece of Cake have previously put on similar training session for businesses in the city on Facebook and Twitter.
BID manager, Neil Scott, said: “The courses run by Sam and Suzie are always popular as they ensure business owners leave with practical skills. Our team here has had SEO training with Piece of Cake and we’re pleased to be able to support levy payers by offering this workshop.”
The session costs £25 per person and will be held from 10am -12pm on Friday, July 29 at the Totally Truro offices on Fairmantle Street.
