Truro Accounting Firm welcomes new Apprentices to Growing Team
Whyfield is excited and proud to welcome two new apprentices to their team. Liam McCormick and Harriet Powell recently started work with the Truro-based firm.
Both apprentices are looking forward to supporting accounting and finance projects, alongside Whyfield’s experienced team of accountants. In addition to this, they will spend one day per week studying towards their AAT qualification.
The apprentices will form an important part of Whyfield’s young and dynamic workforce. The team currently deliver bookkeeping, management accounting information, specialist business growth advice and a full range of accounting services to over 500 individuals and businesses across the South West.
Managing Director of Whyfield, Laura Whyte said, “We are excited to be able to welcome two new apprentices on-board! There was an extremely high quality pool of applicants, which shows just how much talent and experience that we have locally. This means that we have been able to recruit the very best candidates to help us continue to deliver high quality accounting services.”
New apprentice, Liam commented, “I love helping to meet our clients’ diverse accounting needs. Some clients only require an annual meeting, but others rely upon us for weekly or even daily support! It’s great to gain such a variety of experience.”
Most of Whyfield’s apprentices remain with the company once they have completed their training. Whyfield’s last apprentice, Jess, is in the final stages of completing her AAT Level 4 and is already working full-time as an Accounts Assistant in the company’s Truro office.
Whyfield is an AAT approved employer, which means that apprentices will automatically meet their CPD requirements for professional membership simply by following the company’s training programme. It also means that clients can be sure that they will receive the most up to date, accurate advice.
