A wave of new job opportunities at Ann’s Cottage
Truro and Penwith College Business is working in partnership with the surf and lifestyle clothing company Ann’s Cottage to develop the retail managers of the future with the recruitment of new Apprentices to their team.
Ann’s Cottage is looking for three enthusiastic new apprentices who will have the opportunity to work in the front line of the company and kick start their career with a Retail Apprenticeship. This training programme has been developed and designed with Truro and Penwith College Business and the Ann’s Cottage team, prioritising training in customer focus, security, product knowledge, visual merchandising and skills such as communication, team working and decision making.
The bespoke training programme includes nationally recognised qualifications such as the Level 2 Certificate in Retail, as well as additional ‘Masterclasses’ which offer specific training focusing on key components relevant to the business, such as visual merchandising and purchasing.
Ann’s Cottage is investing in its business and taking into account plans for succession whilst, at the same time, reaping the benefits of training local talent progressing in a retail career. The new Apprenticeship partnership will not only be financially beneficial to the business, but will also bring in new perspectives and fresh ideas which will further enhance the creativity within the organisation.
Ann’s Cottage and Truro and Penwith College Business are currently recruiting for the three vacancies. The closing date for applicants is 8th March, with interviews taking place later in March and successful applicants starting their programme mid-April. To apply contact the Apprenticeship Recruitment Team on 01872 267531.
Rob Harris, owner of Ann’s Cottage, said: “We have been working in partnership with Truro and Penwith College to design a bespoke Retail Apprenticeship Academy within our business.
