Nicholson’s South West Sponsor Prestigious Devon and Cornwall Tourism Awards

Nicholson’s South West have made an exciting commitment when it comes to Devon and Cornwall’s hospitality industry, by supporting this years Tourism Awards.

Nicholson’s is sponsoring the Best Bed and Breakfast category for both Devon and Cornwall. Furthermore, the 2015/16 entries are smashing new records when it comes to applicants. Over 164 establishments have entered into the Devon awards already, while Cornwall has a slightly higher number of 167.

There’s likely to be more applicants in both counties as there are still several categories open for nominations. However, judging has now begun for the Bed and Breakfast category; mystery shoppers and independent scorers will now visit the hotels in order to decide a winner.

Awards spokesperson Robin Barker commented on the Cornwall Tourism Awards on their website, saying: ‘The Awards have hit new heights this year, breaking previous records again following the region’s success in May’s national awards, when we were England’s top region. It is especially good to see businesses showing year-on-year improvements and numerous first time entrants.’
